Mechanical Engineer from Universidad América, with specialization courses in technology transfer and patents at the World Intellectual Property Organization -WIPO- in Geneva, Switzerland; at the European Patent Office -EPO- in Munich, Germany; and, in the Spanish Office of Patents and Trademarks -OEPM- in Madrid, Spain.
Consultant for the creation and implementation of the Patent Bank from the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce. He has written briefs on patents published by the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce, such as the Inventor’s Manual, and has prepared several sectoral studies for WIPO on micro and small enterprises and Intellectual Property in Colombia. Additionally, he has handled technology-related subjects for the last 20 years, and fully knows the patentability procedures. He has been a lecturer on Industrial Property and on the importance of the Patent Bank. He was manager of the Second Meeting of Inventors. On several occasions, he has been a consultant to WIPO.
He is currently Tutor of the WIPO General Course on Intellectual Property (DL-101)
